If you don't make it a point to stop here while passing by Carolina Forest, you're missing out. Amazing ice cream and service. I've had the same people waiting on me for years, and when they say Real Ice Cream, they mean "real." I really want some now, but I'm 2 hours away.

The ice cream flavors board had me unable perplexed upon first glance, and second then third. Fortunately, a fairly long line was in place before me allowing for extra time to process the names in an effort to determine what may be handed to me from beyond the glass doors. Turtle, Oreo Cookie Dough, Salted Carmel Something, I'm really not an ice cream enthusiasts but I dare say I didn't recognize more than two flavors and with an ever growing line behind me, the idea of a sample drifted rapidly into the din. I wimped out on a daring choice and ordered a Coffee ice cream as I'd had not a single cup all day which I enjoyed but left no 'wow' factor as the rest of masses seemed to be experiencing. The drive thru option really had me internally chuckling to myself a bit. I mean, if that's not the ultimate form of laziness, I'm not sure what is.

Just tried this place for the first time. Excellent homemade ice cream. I had a black raspberry small waffle cone. Sweet, creamy ice cream with real black raspberries in it. Also purchase a pint of maple walnut to take home. Have yet to try it. The server was super nice and even provided a BOGO free coupon she had. The prices were no more than we were use to paying back home and this was homemade. $4.19 for a generous small in a waffle cone. A pint of ice cream was $8 and change. Excellent place. Can't go wrong. They make ice cream cakes too.

I was in Kroger's getting some things and since it was in afternoon decided to stop by Brewster's Real Ice Cream and try them out. I loved there Ice Cream when i went to Beaufort S.C. and wondered if it was just as good and i was not disappointed. I had White Turtle...o the ice cream was just as creamy as before and lots and lots of Pecans not just a couple like most places there is a pecan in each bite i kid u not .The price was great two scoops and two waffle cones was just 8$ and change most time i pay 15$ for 2 cones

Old school style ice cream in a comfortable walk-up reminiscent of long ago. Prices aren't old school though but aren't extreme. Service is fast and friendly but seating isn't enough to handle the demand in the summer. More selection than DQ (across the street) and really fresh. Bring the dog and get a doggy treat.

The ice cream here is smooth and delicious. Probably some of the best ice cream I've ever had. This ice cream is one of the closest things I've had to Italian gelato in the sense that they put the actual flavors directly into the ice cream. For example I got a small waffle come with pistachio and coconut chip. They actually put pistachios in the ice cream and on top. It was amazing! I'd highly recommend this place. It's worth the drive from the beach.

My family and I stopped by Bruster's on 4/2/15. As soon as the nice young lady behind the counter saw that we had our dog with us, she prepared a free doggie cup (one tiny scoop of vanilla ice-cream with a dog treat on top). It was such a sweet gesture, and our dog loved it. I highly recommend any of their ice creams, and the Peach Freeze was especially good! The staff was great, too! We will definitely be back.

Better than Custard!! They offered the BEST ice cream I've ever had, and I'm from the dairy state (WI). Bravo, well done and the prices are unbelievable. P.S- Bring your own bananas and get half off their banana sundae.

We went here tonight after being disappointed by Painters. Bruster's blows Painters away! They have your usual hard ice cream staple flavors, but also some nice unique ones. I had the banana chocolate chip and it blew my mind. It didn't taste like imitation banana...it tasted like there were some actual bananas in there! And the chocolate chips were those big flakes, not little chips, so it was awesome. My wife had the turtle ice cream (the chocolate one, not the white chocolate option) and the caramel was incredibly gooey and ooey and she had to grab a dish because it was sliding right out of the cone. My mother had the tiramisu and she really enjoyed hers. I didn't try it since I'm not a fan of coffee-flavored anything. The waffle cone was pretty light and tasty, and had that sweet, vanilla-y taste to it that I simply love. We had went to the website earlier, and for signing up for e-mails we got a coupon that was good for a free sugar cone with the purchase of a waffle cone, so that was almost a BOGO coupon. The prices in general were fair...my "small" waffle cone cost $3.60 something plus tax, and was by no means small at all, so you definitely get your money's worth. The place had quite a few benches and tables set up outside, and a drive-thru, but there is no where to sit inside, so you will be exposed to the elements (rain and bugs) when eating. There are a ton of flavor options available at one time, and the menu changes daily, so you will never get to try every flavor they can make. A little bit of info I learned is that if there is a particular flavor you like, you can call 24 hours ahead of time and they will make sure that flavor will be available to you when you go the next day.

I am not a big ice cream eater, but Bruster's is so good. All the ice cream tastes fresh and homemade. Prices are very reasonable for such good ice cream, plus they are always running some kind of promotion for discount and even free ice cream. The doggie sundaes are too cute!
